Multi-instrumentalist & composer Sasha Bayan is joined by friends for an evening of live collaborative music-making.

Sasha's musical journeys have ranged far and wide, including:
- Guitar & composition studies at Northwestern University
- Sitar at University of Hyderabad, India
- Flamenco music studies in Seville, Spain
- Brazilian music studies in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

"I've been writing new sitar tunes and awesome musicians keep coming to Monday sitar nights -- the music has been incredible and we'd love to share it with you. Hope to see you there!" - Sasha

Music will include traditional tunes from Indian and Bahá’í sources, Sasha's compositions, and whatever the musicians feel inspired to offer!

Sacred sounds is a weekly night of music, poetry, and prose at the Kava Lounge SF. Our intention is to host a space where creative expressions sourced in love, compassion, consciousness, and spirit are weaved together to produce a night of inspiration, community, and connection. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, or just beginning to warm up to the microphone, your creative expressions will be welcomed by the open and supportive patrons of the Kava Lounge.

Sign ups start at 7:30PM. The open mic starts at 8PM and goes no later than 11PM. Performers typically get 7-10 minutes. Equipment includes a good PA system, a house guitar, two microphones, direct input, and a music stand.

Come in on Wednesday to meet your neighbors and make some new friends. To help you out, every time you buy a high tide you can give a low tide to anyone else in the bar for free! Bula and good vibes!
